Batter Up!

Life has turned into a crazy whirlwind this Spring as Cole has started his first season of T-ball.  Oh my word-you talk about hectic...between practice and games and trying to eat dinner we are busy!  I will admit that I was complaining about this whole new schedule to Rhonald just the other day.  All complaining came to a halt as soon as we saw Cole play in his first game.  His smile was plastered to his face from 5:30-8:30 (he played a double header that night) as he ran and hit his sweet little heart out.  It was so much fun to sit and watch all that he had learned in such a short time.  We loved cheering for all of the kids and watching them work together to figure this whole game thing out.  There were chants of "Let's go Huskies, let's go!" ringing from the dugout as they cheered for one another and it was awesome!  I did get teary eyed as our boy ran into the dugout after his first inning playing outfield.  Cole had not touched the ball yet but he was grinning from ear to ear and yelled, "I really love this!" as he ran in.  I can see many, many nights at the ball field in our future and I am so glad.  His confidence is growing leaps and bounds and he is truly enjoying himself.  I am so thankful that he has had a chance to have this experience this year.
