Bouncin' Around
We decided to change things up this week and I planned a few indoor activities that we have not done in awhile. Today was Boingo Bounce-a huge hit in our family. We met up with the Guynn's and the Stearle's for some bouncy fun! Lily Kate is so different from Cole in so many ways...the main one being that she is not afraid of anything physical. She is so shy toward people but she loves to run and play and be just like one of the big kids when we are out and about. Boingo Bounce is great for her - she can do every slide and bouncy house without help. Cole loved it as well....running from here to there and burning off some much needed energy with his buddies. It was a nice treat to be out of the heat for a change! Thanks Keisha for the pictures.

What's Happening
If you wonder where we have been for the past couple of weeks the answer is...in the pool! Holy moly is it hot and there is really not a whole lot else you can do. We are blessed by great friends....I have said that many times....and it is very, very true. Another blessing about 4 of these friends is that they live in the same subdivision....almost the same street....and that subdivision just recently opened it's brand new, zero entry, beautiful pool! The kids and I have taken full advantage of the comment, "Seriously, just come whenever you want." It really has been great to have this place to hang with friends and enjoy the summer. The mom's are so super happy to spend time all together and the kids are so super happy to play and have fun with one another as well.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame
While my parents were here my dad took Cole to his very first baseball game at Arvest Ballpark. Cole was so excited and even got out my dad's old ball glove in case there was a foul ball. According to my dad, there were not many people at the game (imagine that - a Monday night and its 100 degrees outside) but they enjoyed it all the same. Cole feasted on a grape sno cone and enjoyed questioning my dad about what was going on. He saw the Naturals hit 2 home runs and fell in love with the game of baseball. Due to the time of night and the heat Cole was ready to call it a night after the 4th inning so the two of them headed home....program in hand (that was very cool to Cole). As soon as they walked in the door Cole wanted to tell all about the game and then had me turn a baseball game on TV while he waited for his Daddy to get home from work. It was a great memory for them to make together...and how exciting that we may have a little baseball player on our hands.

Home Grown Goodness
If there is one thing that we have discovered a love for it is picking our own fruit. Holy cow, is that ever fun! Today was the last day for pick your own peaches at our local peach farm and we were dying to go. It turned out that my parents are here for a visit and they also love picking...so we loaded up early and headed out to the orchard. I have never seen so many peaches in all of my life! None of us had ever picked peaches before and did not know what to expect...we were shocked. And in awe. We got right to work...Cole being the best picker of our group. Lily Kate did her usual....she ate the entire time we were there. My word - she did not like the peels however and learned how to eat the peach and then spit the peel out. So funny! We picked so many peaches I have no clue what we will do with them! Even at bedtime Cole was talking about how much fun it was...I am so thankful we have discovered all of these neat farms and that they are all so close to our house! What a blessing to all of us!

Slippin' And Slidin'
For the love of Summer! We are doing anything and everything we can to keep cool around here these days. One of Rhonald and Cole's favorite things....the slip and slide. Rhonald turns into a little kid when we pull that thing out and Cole never stops giggling. Cole hasn't really mastered the run and slide yet so he runs, lays down and Rhonald gives him a big shove! Lily tried her best to get in on the action this year too. She would walk to the end and lay down and laugh. So cute! All in all it makes for a very fun afternoon!

Summer Lovin'
There are very few things in this world that Lily Kate loves more than a good, messy pop sickle on a hot Summer day.
