Rhonald let Cole play video games with him tonight and, I swear, they were like 2 peas in a pod! Except Cole is still learning and about 2 minutes in to it he grabbed the controller and started running in circles around Rhonald yelling "race daddy!" I don't know if he wanted to race Rhonald or what but he did that for a long time. They got me in on the action as well but I can honestly say I was horrible. So bad that I think Cole got a better score than I did. Oh well...I guess I will leave that bonding time for the boys.

It really feels like we have all been battling something or another this winter...maybe it is the weather, maybe it is the fact that we are around a lot more kids than we were last year...I don't know but I do know that I am tired of it! Yesterday Cole and I ran over to the clinic where Rhonald works to be seen for super sore throats and fevers....and guess what? Yep, we both have strep throat and Cole has a double ear infection and pink eye!!! Rhonald texted me today saying that he is not feeling well so I am sure he has it too...ugh! And to make matters worse it is sunny and 64 degrees outside today! We are trying to make the best of it and are having fun playing (when we have the energy) and napping (when we feel good enough to nap). Cole found this bin in his closet and decided it was the perfect place to sit and draw. He loved it! My dear friend, Emily, brought us some yummy soup and ice cream for dinner. It is so wonderful to have a "family" here to help us during the tough times. I shared some ice cream with Cole after his nap and he kept saying "ice cream yummy yummy!" and he was right! Also after his nap I realized that my voice is almost all of the way gone. And, of course, all Cole has wanted to do this afternoon is sing and read books. Oh well - such is life...it could so much worse!!!!
