After 2 glycerin suppositories, prune juice, and a small amount of rice cereal we have a HUGE amount of results! Our poor baby boy let loose during his bath this evening and we have never been so happy to see so much poop in all of our lives! One thing we read online was that babies may become constipated when they travel. We did notice that Cole did not drool at all when we were at my mom and dad's house and, of course, he did not poop. We now assume that was a sign of dehydration...one that we will look for from now on. Have no fear - since we have gotten home he is back to his drooling little self and seems to be getting everything back in order. Another thing we are happy about is that we can wait on the baby food. We really think that had little to nothing to do with the results that he had tonight.
Well, who knew I could write 2 long posts about my child's poop!!! Being a mom is so great isn't it?!

Jenny, I'm so glad to read that he finally pooped! My sis went through the same thing with her little girl and basically did the same things you did with the same results you had with Cole! I sent you a funny e-mail about why boys need parents. I'm sure we will both eventually experience what the e-mail shows!
Believe it or not, I read several blog posts about poop tonight. That seems to be an important topic lately.
Glad he's doing better!
Before you became a mom did you ever think you would get so excited to see poop? Glad all of his "pipes" are working again!
Having Cate drink enough water was the trick for us when Cate was older. She didn't have any problems until we started solids at 6 months but then we really had to make sure she drank a lot of water.
Adam was once stopped up for 7 days and it totally freaked me out. I can't imagine 2 weeks! So glad Cole finally got some relief!!!
